The Carter School of Irish Dance has been established in the Hemel Hempstead area for over 20 Years. As a child I danced locally with An Comisiun and if it wasn’t for the help, encouragement and support of my late mother, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Founded By Bernie Carter in 1992,The Carter School of Irish Dance has shared the grace, elegance and joy of Traditional Irish Dance with hundreds of students through the years, and boasts many Champion dancers in both solo and team events.

The Carter School of Irish dance is Affiliated to Cead Mile Failte Association of Irish Dancing which is one of the smaller bodies in the Irish dancing world, and students from the school participate in regular Feisanna, (Irish Dancing Competitions)within CMFA across the UK, and in open platform feisanna in the UK and Ireland.

The Carter school of Irish dance have also danced at many events from weddings, fetes and elderly care homes to television appearances! We have also danced at The Royal Albert Hall, were finalists in Hertfordshires got talent 2010 and actively support the Dacorum Youth Action Entertainers.

The Carter School of Irish Dance welcomes dancers from the age of 4 and a half through to Adult. Irish Dance Classes take place inĀ  Gadebridge, Hemel Hempstead on Mondays Tuesdays and Saturdays.
